IMPRESSIVE PORTRAIT !

A lot of "pretentious" photographer don't take as good portrait of human. As a lot of human don't pose that good either in front of a camera... ;o)
The excellent sharpness as well as the perfect exposure deliver numerous fine details all over. Blured green BG is perfect and looks natural. Sky reflexion in the eyes.
Only one comment: Next time, practice and tell him a better joke so he give you a real smile... ;o) not a... :o\

Nice work, good detail, well executed shot. If I might make just one suggestion, the BG is a high contrast color and does take the viewer from the subject to the BG. By dropping the input levels in the BG only or by decreasing the contrast in the BG, you would effectively mute the color/brightness so that it doesn't compete for viewet attention.

Where did you shoot this picture of me? Cannot recollect that I saw you!
Exposure is VERY nice, the eyes speak volumes.
Great picture.
I sold the Big bertha and the macro, the 80-400 is also in the market. I got a Nikor AF-S VR 70-200 F2.8G. Hope to nail the birds I want with this one. And when the ship comes in, there is a 200-400 Nikor on the wishlist.
I hope you will have mild winter - we had about 1 week winter the past year.
