Hej Gert,
A very high quality capture of a male gråsiska with all the features that make a good bird portrait, especially the lighting against the greyish neutral BG and the composition on the twig is perfect.
Well done MF! It would be nice to photograph one in Scania but they are not so common here.

Bravo, dear friend.
So amazing as outstanding picture of a wonderful scene. However, first of all I am impressed with great DOF. Even twig in focus at whole. And it deserves to be presented with such extreme details. Image of the bird cannot be better in all aspects. Pose, reproduction of tiny details and all colour tones are fantastic. Bokeh (BG) is superb by colouration and smoothness. Superb 3D-image. Hi Gert. I was able to take a picture of one last week and posted it yesrterday. i was happy with the result untill i saw this . Its First class. You have taken it with fine detail and sharp focusing. With such natural colours. A good POV/DOF. I would like to add this to my favorites list. Well done TFS.

Hi Gert,
strikingly beautiful capture of the Red Poll (Gråsiska). Tack sharp, brilliantly colourful in all its noble drab colours against the perfectly well supporting distant gray background. Composition straight and clear. Strong light reflections from apparently the snow below give it an unearthy lightness and beauty.

A superb capture of the Redpoll. The sharpness is of a quality I would expect from the peach of a lense you use.
The Light though is a bit intriguing...Are you using a multi flash set up?....I ask because there is light from beneath the subject and the rear..But the head doesnt seem to be equally exposed?
Just an ask Gert.

The image of your photo is excelent. Bird is shown with very high sharpness so that plumage pattern and body's details can be well observed. The light was very well used so that colors are well sturated and looks naturaly.

Excellent sharpness throughout, but the red patch on the head is particularly well -rendered with the texture showing off nicely.

Indeed a masterpiece rich with details, well composed with very high image quality. The details are rich on the bird and your powerful lens has made sure every bit of it is picked up well.The red dot on the head giving its name is very clearly visible.

You are lucky to have this bird make its appearance at your feeder station and depsite all odds you have managed a capture par excellence.I like the way you have it siting on the extended branch.The positioning of the branch in the space was a fanatastic idea.I enjoyed looking at this beauty and would love to keep in my favourite bird shots theme.
