I took this in the afternoon when sat down on bench and rested my feet. The Jackdaw came and sat next to me and showed he’s best side and asked to be portrayed.
It’s a very common bird, and it like to live in the cities
In the autumn they come together in large flocks with 100-500 birds. It is the smallest of our craw birds, about 35 cm.
I have post two picture of the jackdaw earlier, Jackdaw and Eurasian Jackdaw. Kaja.

It is easily recognised at close range by an obvious grey shawl around the nape which makes the face and forehead look conspicuously black. In flight it is smaller with shorter, more rounded and quicker-paced wings than other crows, sometimes seeming almost pigeon-like.

I love those birds. They're close neigbours for all year, brave, smart and cute. Real 'macro' portrait, excellent details of feathers and eye.
