I hope you don’t mind if I post a similar picture to yesterdays post. I’m so happy to get close to this very shy bird and I want to share it with you. They normally are breeding high up in the north.
It’s a large bird, lock a the big wings, but the Mute Swan is heavier.
They have beautiful light-blue eyes, I hope to get a close-up and show you.
Note see yesterdays post.
This picture is converted with the old Photoshop CS and has the right white-balance.
It’s little tight but this is the full frame only resized to site size

Another beauty, Gert!

Beautiful, Gert. Excelent capture and well done on the composition.
My only nit, sorry, is the top of the frame is tight on the head.
Excelent work.

This even better Gert with the full wing extension! Perfect exposure, sharp and detailed. Very well done..

Excellent capture Gert with great sharpness of a bird in movement. Nice job.

Excellent shot of this magnificent bird,

Great timing so you managed to capture the bird in a really nice pose and I think it’s nice that the wings are blurry which ad some extra action.

As always with your pictures it’s clear and the details are great.

Thanks for sharing.

A truely beautiful shot, Gert. The swan's wings look incredibly strong, and yet still graceful. The colour of the water contrasts nicely with the swan's white feathers. Well done.

Hi Gert,

Just spotted this shot as I was looking at the latest critiques. I think its a excellent shot, I love this pose, the Swans I watch generally do this when my camera is pointing at something else, so well captured, lovely colours and sharp detail too.

TFS Hilary :)
