Hi Gert,
This is just awesome. I have so much respect for picture like this as I suck on macros. I find it so hard and your pictures are just so clear and colorful. Extremely well composed and great details. Well done my friend. TFS!

Hi Gert,
just perfect, sharpness is 1*****, as usual.
I also like to see the damsellfly sitting in a diagonal view. Very good arangement, bye

Great capture Gert.
I think you are right about the id - it is called Flagermusvandnymfe in Danish because of the mar on the second abdomen (looking like a bat). Colours are very good as well as dof and sharpness. I also like the diagonal line in the composition. Well done.

Excellent image of the damselfly. The composition is very good, with those grass blades running across the frame.
I think your ID is right. C. puella (azure dfly) also had a U-shaped black mark on the second segment, but it is not normally joined to the posterior black ring. Seems that in this one, it IS joined, so it is most probably pulchellum, Variable Damselfly indeed.

Great composition and beautifull sharpness and rich volours. The diagonal frame works very well in this photo. I was thinking about buying this lens also, till I stumbled on my 200mm. Seems like a very good performer to me! Well worth my 2 points :-)

Wow ! What a wonderful Damselfly (Libellule in french) ! The details are very good on the insect and its wings. I like very its blue color. The background of grass is pleasant for me. Congratulations Gert and TFS.

realy a super shot Gert,
I don't think this can be done better, the only thing what can be done better is the composition, not that this one is bad, oh not at all, but only in the composition you can made the shot better. farther it is whole perfect. my compliments for it.
gr. Jaap
Gert, another brilliant job.
Is it difficult to shoot with a tripod? I mean I have the feeling it's difficult to carry the tripod, get it ready to shoot and so on. Don't you miss lots of opportunities by using the tripod?
Of course, I do agree it's better do use a tripod, but I only would like to know how it is to deal with it when shooting.
As for the picture, another perfect one. Excellent diagonal composition, excellent sharpness, colors and pov, as well as great dof.

Hello Gert. You have captured the detail and colour of this damselfly beautifully! It never ceases to amaze me how many different colours these insects come in. This ones eyes are amazing! The composition and dof are outstanding, imho. Your note is also very helpful.

Personal assessment of the photo: very good.
Strong visual impact.
Aptness of the photo for the site: excellent.
Personal assessment of the note: complete.
Thank you brother Gert.
We had exeptional weather for the season here: around + 29C during more than a week. So I was outdoor taking a lot of photos. Today all returns to normal: + 10C with rain.
Have a good weekend my friend.
