The *closest* (sorry, couldn't help it) to this kind of shot I've seen was taken using a microscope I believe. Wow, this is amazing. The detail, sharpness and colour are outstanding. I'm a bit confused about your lens, was it a Sigma 100-300 or a Sigman 180 or am I displaying horrendous ignorance ;)? TFS Gert :)

Hi Gert
I see you are leading the game, two pairs against one each for Mike and Gerhard! Very nice details here. Is the Sigma a ringflash - I see they have one. I am amazed with the quality here. Raynox makes a "lens" that you can clip on to the fron of the macro, and it gives you up to 22X. You should investigate, I'm sure it is available on your side of the pond.
