How come some of you can see so easily those beautiful animals in the wild! I wish that they could come visit me too but the only mammals that visit my backyard are cats and raccoons :) This is a fantastic capture of a little beauty. I like this great eye contact, details, POV, exposure and composition. I think that you should give him a name :) Well done and thanks,

Very nice capture. Good eyecontact, sharp details and great composition. It looks a wee bit underexposed to me tough. Anyway, great shot!

Indeed a beautiful fox, wonderful coat of fur! He is very handsome and you have a perfect POV to show him in his beauty. It has fantastic exposure with lovely colour and sharpness, eyes looking at you are magnificent. It reminds me a little of the film 'Dances with Wolves'. If he sees you again he will not be too nervous. Great work.

A beautiful capture of this fox, it is hard to get such a beautiful photo of a fox, especially since most of them are very skinny and unhealthy looking. Nice details, the eyes really stand out. Well done.

This is a picture of the highest technical quality! I think it is the best picture presenting a fox I have seen on TN! Amazing details and quality!

Composition:

Simple and perfect! I love your composition because of its simplicity and the lack of distracting objects. The distribution of the empty space around the fox is remarkable! The decreasing sharpness in the background is a key element to isolate the subject! The pose of the fox is also a strong point. It showed you the beautiful profile and the face with all the excellent details within! Eye contact is very good and most of all I like the fact that there was no vegetation (except for a few thin blades of grass) between the lens and the fox. Very well seen and captured!

Colors:

Excellent brown color tones in the fur! They look natural and well saturated! The grass around and behind the fox seems to have a lower saturation. This works towards isolating the subject from everything else!

Contrast:

Very good overall contrast especially in the fur! The features of the fox's face are very well shaped due to the contrast created by the black "outline" around them. This is wonderful as it attracts the viewers' eyes towards the portrait!

Exposure:

It must have been a dim day if you used the tripod to go with this shutter speed at an f/7.1 aperture with just ISO 200. I also can tell that from the overall light in the picture. I don't think there were problems exposing this scene. You captured excellent details, even in the white parts of the fur! The shadows are also well exposed! Great job!

Focus:

The accurate focus is a key factor to get these amazingly sharp details! The small aperture enabled you to keep the DOF deep enough not to loose sharpness on the subject but shallow enough to blur the background!

As I said before, this is the best picture of a fox I've seen on TN! The quality of it is outstanding and you used a simple and elegant frame to present it! Thank you for sharing!
