Hej Micke,
This is an excellent close-up and one of the sharpest I have seen of a nuthatch. Using a tripod at 1/60 was good idea. Fine comp. and lighting too.

There is no luck in sharpness when taking the necessary precautions by using a tripod for this kind of shot. You worked for your sharpness and you were rewarded for it.

I just love the composition of this birdie portrait. It has great proportions, excellent cropping, and ample space. The colours are stunning, the details are brilliantly sharp, the blurriness and the blue sky of the BG worked really well, and you managed the lighting remarkably well.

Hi Mikael,

This is a beautiful portrait. The very precise exposure and focus gives you marvelous detail in the feathers. The use of the tripod was a good choice. Although I don't normally care for such a tight crop, in this case it seems to make an interesting composition.
