This Long-tail is dedicated to Anna (Miss Piggy).
I welcome you to TN and you have already settle in very nicely, with fine images
and very good and decent comments.
Of course you have a good coach too.
If my memory is right I gave Loot a long-tailed tit for more than a years ago,
so I think it’s in order to give Loot’s better half a long-tailed tit too. 
It’s taken from our hide with my new camera in a dull dark day.
With help of a fill-in flash I got decent light.

PLS
No points for this, I have give them up like some others. I have turn of the points, so save your green ones.

/
The Long-tailed Tit, Aegithalos caudatus, is a very small passerine bird. It breeds in most of Europe and Asia. It is a non-migratory species.
It is closely related to the true tits, and in winter it is often found with tit flocks.
This is a very small bird at only 13–15 cm in length including its very long tail, which itself makes up 7–9 cm of the total. The Long-tailed Tit is black and brown above and whitish below, with reddish flanks. It has a white crown. North European birds (A. c. caudatus) have completely white heads and flanks.
This is a restless species, constantly on the move as it searches for insects and other small food items. It is usually found in small flocks, and has been described as an avian sheep.
Long-tailed Tits are birds of deciduous woodlands with undergrowth. They nest in a tree or shrub. Six to twelve eggs are laid in a woven closed nest. The nest is held together with spider webs, and camouflaged with lichen. Adult birds will find a relative's nest and help feeding their "nephews and nieces", if their own nest is predated.
The call is loud trisyllabic srih-srih-srih.

Hej Gert,
This is a masterpiece! I am not that interested in points either but I am interested in sharing my images and what I know about them so don't feel obliged to give me points.
The composition and POV are superb.
Thanks for sharing this extraordinary capture.
I hope you are well.
Hälsningar,
Ivan

Dear Gert

A joyous moment indeed. Not just because you so kindly dedicated this to Anna (which is obviously extremely appreciated), but also to see a new posting from you again. This I want to emphasise with a cheerful spirit in the light of the positive changes I noticed in your intro page (you will know what I mean). Another reason is because this is the product of a new 1D Mark II. Congratulations and happy hunting. This gives me much hope that there's still a healthy prospect of many photos that will come the TrekNature way.

I have to tell you though; it's been a long time since I heard my wife giggle like a little teenage school girl. When we noticed your reply to her critique she urged me to open your page (post haste) and upon seeing the title of your posting the spontaneous laughter welled from her heart with the pure sound reminiscent of a glockenspiel.

While contemplating on what to comment regarding such a perfect image, I inadvertently expressed my thoughts aloud and Anna's quick response was "Ask Gert if there's place in his hide for me as well?" So there you got it. Not only did she suddenly (out of the blue) blossomed into a "know all photographer" (chuckle), but she also acquired a keen eye to see a masterpiece with one glance. In all reality, on your intro page you expressed your thoughts on critiquing by saying "Nice words makes me very happy, but good and decent critique makes me a better photographer", but I ask you with tears in my navy blue eyes, what can I (or Anna) say on this photo that will make you a better photographer? After all, you are the main MAN.

Excellent work MF and TVMFS (thanks very much for sharing)
Best regards
Loot

PS. I'm just wondering if she wanted to join you in your hide to be able to learn from a master or was she actually thinking about how she could teach you a thing or two. (Oh shucks, so maybe this last remark has just placed me in the dog box again.)

What a beuty and a good capture.
very nice and in a diagonal.
In the Netherlands we call them Staartmees.

Regards Gert

Hi, dear Gert.
You have represented this amazing little bird again. It is great. The picture is fantastic. The best equipment and the best photographer. I like mathematically strong diagonal composition, terrific exactness of exposure, colour reproduction and superb details/sharpness. BG, nicely coloured and extremely smoothed is wonderful too. Not and dedication are so touching. Thanks and bravo.
Alexei.

Hej Gert
Long time no see :) Well composed shot with excellent details!

Hej Gert,
Of all your great captures I think I love the ones of the Long-tailed Tits the most. Partly beause it is such a wonderful little bird but they're not that common or easy to see here either! This composition is superb and I like the background. Technically brilliant as usual!
Thanks for turning up again! Cheers, Ulla

Hi Ellis, I had never seen this little bird before and I am in admiration, what a beauty and how small it looks. You captured it with great sharpness and beautiful light. I love the bird at the tip of the branche with its tail prolonging the branch. All the details of its feathers, its colour, everything is fantastic. This is a master shot, thank you,

Francine

Dear Gert
Although I am very far back in the queue to thank you for the photo of the "Long-tail" you have dedicated to me, I want you to know that it was a great honour receiving a dedication from you. It was totally unexpected and an immense surprise. Once again I want to say that you are an inspiration not just for all the newcomers like me, but also for some of the older members. I am sure that there are loads of technical aspects of photography that people like myself still have to learn, you have already forgotten.
What more can I add to what everybody has not said as yet? Stunning, awesome, striking, lovely, splendid, breath-taking …………….and that is all for me! Your noble gesture is much appreciated.
Kind regards
Anna
Ps. I just wanted you to know that I was not flattering you with al these lovely words because I wanted a place in the hide with you. I said that all because you deserve each and every single one.

hello Gert

superb shot of this beautiful and very cute bird,
the bird and the branch perfectly focused,

Hi Gert,

Excellent picture. I especially like the sharpness and detail and the very pleasant BG. I have not yet succeeded shooting these in Scandinavia and I know they are much more timid there than in UK, so very good work!

Thanks
