First I will thank all for the nice comments and word of my last post.

This is a very common bird up here and last year it was more than common.
The Blue Tit so common I almost don’t shoot them anymore but this one was posing nicely, against a nice BG, I couldn’t resist to take a picture and it’s taken from our hide.

I think you know most of the Blue Tit but here is some info.

The Blue Tit, Cyanistes caeruleus (often still Parus caeruleus), is a 10.5 to 12 cm long passerine bird in the tit family Paridae. It is a widespread and common resident breeder throughout temperate and subarctic Europe and western Asia in deciduous or mixed woodlands. It is a resident bird, i.e., most birds do not migrate
The azure blue crown and dark blue line passing through the eye and encircling the white cheeks to the chin give the Blue Tit a very distinctive appearance. The forehead and a bar on the wing are white. The nape, wings and tail are blue; the back is yellowish green; the under parts mostly sulphur-yellow with a dark line down the abdomen. The bill is black, the legs bluish grey, and the irides dark brown. Young Blue Tits are noticeably more yellow. This is a common and popular European garden bird, due to its perky acrobatic performances when feeding on nuts or suet. It swings beneath the holder, calling tee, tee, tee or a scolding churr.
The song period lasts almost all the year round, but is most often heard during February to June.

Tghis blåmes really shows well against the BG in this shot. As you say the pose is great and the composition pleasing Excellent colours too. We mustn't ignore these little beauties just because they are common!

It may be common but the Blue Tit is a very cute and cheeky little bird! I love its pose here and the colours are very beautiful and details sharp. The dark background makes it really stand out too. A fine composition!

Hi Gert

Now this is simply outstanding!
Not only is this a magnificent blue-tit photo from you, but everything around the bird here is just perfect! The blurred BG is a bliss and the dead branch the tit is resting on here is also beautiful but it doesn't stand out at all to distract the attention from the subject.
Moreover, the direction it is positioned to allows for this splendid diagonal line in this wonderful vertical composition.
What more can i say: my hat's off to you and your work!

Hello Gert. How did you train this Blue tit to sit still!! You have captured a excellent shot with your sharp focusing and fine detail. as you say you could not resist this one and i can see why. such a natural pose and colour against the blurred BG. very well done TFS.

Bird is really common but who can say that he has so beautiful and skillfully done shot? I think not a lot. All is amazing. First of all lighting. It is fantastic. Secondly, stunning colours. I can to continue but I say only the word: BRAVO.

Jag tycker att blåmes borde vara Sveriges nationalfågel istället för koltrast!
Jag har kollat på din sida med extra fåglar. Jag har en liknande ställe som jag kan visa dig fast med bättre struktur. Jag vet att det blir mer med fågel om några månader... Jag tycker att det är roligt att träffas och ville komma tidigare ändå :)

The composition is really superb here. The vertical framing is perfect for this shot. Soft light and a flawless exposure. The colors and detail of the plumage are very beautiful. Well contoled DOF has rendered a great OOF backround that highlights this little guy perfectly.
