Hi Gert
A lovely image with good composition and excellent sharpness. The twig adds interest and I like the catchlight in the eye. I know you have turned off the points, but I just love this image!
Cheers

Hi Gert,
Great to see a post from you again.
The POV, comp, and pose with straw-n-beak is wonderful.
Very good detail, DOF, and natural looking color..
The bird stands out well in your frame, nice catchlight too.
Well done mf,
Howard
PS - I never waste my green ones, I distribute them with a smile :)

Hallo Gert
I find this little fellow simply irresistible. This is a super shot of a fine looking bird. I really like the fluffy feathers on its chest and the marble round eye. I also like the layers of different colours of the feathers, especially the white stripe above the eye. Details are sharp and bird is well in focus. This is indeed a beautiful scene and I enjoyed looking at it. It reminded me a lot of my own posting a while ago. Building Engineer At WorkTechnically not as good as yours but the idea is lot alike. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna

Gert;
I have no feeling in my feet. It has taken me 3 yeas to get used to it and the phantom pains...and now I have carpel in my left hand...which is the cause of many of my mis-typed words...somehow my brain has adapted...it could be better, but I suppose it could be worse...my thoughts are with you..
A very nice image of this small aviary creature, done in your classic style. Considering the length of time which you have been on TN, I suggest that many have learned from you an you may not know it! Very well seen...heal soon!

Hello Ellis,
Superb composition. Great sharpness. Beautiful light and natural colours. The background is a little bit disturbing, but that remains an excellent shot.
Cheers,

Hi Gert,
I love it! To catch a Warbler in a pose like this is wonderful - add the nesting material in his mouth and it's unbelievable! Beautiful in all respects - colors, details, shadings of the blowing feathers, the face with the sparkling eye. Even the legs and claws grasping the tree.

Hello MF
I see you are working with a Mark II now and also Marhowie is using one of these. Also you have a 400mm/5.6. What are you guys doing for a living to make that kind of money. I mean - I still have to satisfie with my old 20D and a Tamron 200-500 mm:-0.
My friend, this is a very good picture of a Willow Warbler. Are you sure it is not a ChiffChaff (Phylloscopus collybita). We have both around where I am living and I have not yet learned to separate them if I do not hear the song/call. Very good focus and natural colours. Slightly burned on the upper chest in the white. Excellent composition. Well blurred background. And as usual a very good note to follow.
Great stuff

Hello Gert,
It is great to see a post from you again. I hope it will be better with your wrists. This is a very good picture of a Willow Warbler. A marvelous composition on this diagonal branche. Razorsharp, with a lot of fine details. POV, BG and DOF are very good. I found the light very warm. Keep going on Gert and show us a lot more of this wonderful guys. (-:.
Have an nice weekend and TFS BOB

Hi Gert.
You managed to catch a very nice scene and named the shot. Extreme three-dimensional close-up. I like wonderful well balanced composition of the shot, superb DOF and of course terrific sharpness and details of the main subject. Great work of telelens and you as usual. Many thanks and best regards.
Alexei.

Hi Gert
I just wonder how this lovely dainty warbler with the ever so slight build will survive in the competitive and dog-eat-dog environment of the building industry. Wow, that piece of straw is almost thicker than the bird's legs.
A good composition with the angled twig running through the frame and delivering the subject slightly off-centre. Natural colours and great details make it visually pleasing and the fact that it stands out well against the BG ensures the focus remains where it belongs, on the bird.
Well done MF and TFS.
Regards
Loot
PS. I feel the same as Howard. There is no waste in a green one where it belongs, period. Anyway, I normally have spare ones left every day (chuckle) so here is mine, also with a smile ;o)

So the bird is doing all the hard work while you take photos...I'd do the same, hehehehe! I've seen this bird, but have wondered what it was. They can move quick (like most birds) and have wondered at their shyness. Terrific POV, DOF, and BG. Quality is sharp and catchlight beyond reproach.

Hej Gert,
An excellent capture of what looks like a Chiff-chaff, Gransångare, with a bit of nesting material. Technically superb and taken from a great POV in a fine pose.
TFS this fine image,
Ivan
