Hej Gert!
Great macro of this Wood Ant showing it in a fine pose. Superb details and colours. A fine composition too.
Vi har just kommit tillbaka från Sthlm-Uppsala där vi höll på at frysa ihjäl!! Här har det varit sol hela veckan och idag 16 grader. Men det är väldigt torrt efter fyra veckors solsken och inget regn!!
Hoppas det snart blir varmare i Gävle också!!

A great macro it is,as you already mention yourselves a pity the dof wasnt a bit better,but I know it is not so easy to capture these small ants always on the move,well done and tfs

Hi Gert, in the areas picked up with your depth of field the detail is incredible. I like his pose, standing up on his 4 hind legs, almost like he has something to say. Very nice.

This is a PERFECT MACRO shot
it looks like (Formica polyctena) a species of European red wood ant.
in Dutch this is called "kale rode bosmier"
i like the pose very much
perfect compo, colors, sharp details and light
