This is the first post for 3 month, I think my timeout is over for this time.
First I will thank you all for the fine comments on my previous post.

Today’s post is a something new for me, I have never post this beautiful bird before.
The Bearded Tit or Bearded Reedling, Skäggmes are quite rare up here, sometimes we can see 3-5 of them in the winter but today we had more than 20 around us. Micke (Tamock) and I took a lot pictures. We have been waiting over 3 years to get decent photos.
The problem with this beauty they are mostly deep in the reeds and I it’s almost impossible to get a clean shot. I hope you like this male.
I did the PP-work in the new CS4 trail-version.

AS usual I'm not interested of points.
PLS
No points for this, I have given them up like some others. I have turn of the points, so don’t waste your green ones.

From Wikipedia.
The Bearded Reedling, Panurus biarmicus, is a peculiar small passerine bird. It is also frequently known as the Bearded Tit due to some similarities to Long-tailed Tits, or Bearded Parrotbill since it was later placed with these after it was removed from the true tits in the family Paridae. But according to more recent research, it is actually a most unique songbird - no other living species seems to be particularly closely related to it. Thus, it seems that the monotypic family Panuridae must again be recognized. The Bearded Reedling is a species of temperate Europe and Asia. It is resident, and most birds do not migrate other than eruptive or cold weather movements. It is vulnerable to hard winters, which may kill many birds. This is a small orange-brown bird with a long tail and an undulating flight. The male has a grey head and black moustaches (not a beard). Flocks often betray their presence in a reedbed by their characteristic "ping" call. This species is a wetland specialist, breeding colonially in large reedbeds by lakes or swamps. It eats reed aphids in summer, and reed seeds in winter, its digestive system actually changing to cope with the very different seasonal diets.

Hi Gert,

I wonder - if it had taken three more years of waiting to capture this bird would you have stayed away from TN that long?? So glad to see you back - I have missed your wonderful posts. I think this is the first time I have seen this beautiful bird. You were so fortunate to get a good view of him through the reeds. The face is just beautiful with the yellow beak and eye and the black patch. Wonderful details of the plummage as well. Beautiful pose and composition. Looking forward to seeing what you have for us next.

Jane

Hi, dear Gert.
Fantastic work. I wish it to see again and again. Terrific scene ay whole. Stems create an amazing pattern. Lighting is great as well as the colour palette of the whole image. Reproduction of colour tones and all details of the charming bird is outstanding. It is true piece of photo art for imitating and education. Bravo. Great job.

Hi Gert

So nice to see you here again and i strongly hope you'll have the time and the passion to post here again more often.

This is a superb capture and an excellent presentation, my friend!
The Bearded Reedling is a lovely species and you show it here in the best way possible - with excellent details, gorgeous colors and in its natural habitat.
The light is very nice and makes all the tones shine so well, while the DOF is very good and renders an exceptional sharpness across the bird. I particularly like the black fingers in the FG here and they mean look they give to this delicate and lovely bird :)
Wonderful work, my friend!

Bravo and TFS
Horia

Hello Gert,
This certainly is a beautiful new species from you and one I have never seen before.
Today it is exactly 4 years since I made my first post on Trek Nature, and I'm very glad you are here today because yours was the very first photograph I looked at and made a favourite. Do you remember your Fieldfare In A Rowan Tree ?
I've written a bit about that day 4 years ago,and who was posting then in the general forum.
Reading it should bring back a few memories.
Its great to see you are still around.
Best wishes Gert,
Steve

Hej Gert,
Great to see you back here again and with a superb capture of a Bearded Tit! You lucky man!! How did you manage to get this close?? I expect you had a hide because they're so hard to get close to. It's a real beauty this bird and your capture is as clear as a bell in beautiful natural colours. I like the framing by the reeds too! Excellent work!
Many thanks and I look forward to seeing more of your splendid photography!
Many thanks and cheers, Ulla

p.s great to see you back!

Hej Gert

Ralf

excellent capture with perfect quality as usual. good to see you are taking a break from taking a break.
very well done & best wishes, thor.

great portrait, TFS Ori

Hello Gert,

You probably can't imagine how great it is to see you still here on TN! :-)
It may seem a strange thing to say, but for me you are a legend. Just like Callie, Gerhard, Luc, Howard, Paul and so many other "old" TNers.
I'm sorry to read about all the silly things that some people put on forums while I was away. The truth is this site wouldn't be what it is without you guys and a lot of people wouldn't be who they are now.
Maybe it's a big thing to say, but I mean it... The bunch of a little crazy people I've met here three or four years ago with their very infectious love to both nature and photography had a huge impact on me and I couldn't be more glad I've had a pleasure to know them :-)

And now for the critique ;-)
I love the "softness" of this picture. The colours and light are amazing.
Superb work!

Cheers,
Monika
