Hallo Gert,

This is a picture with warm colours and tones, which is what I like most about it. It makes it a very pleasing picture. I love the texture of the grasseeds it is sitting on with the frost. I like the composition very much; it contributes to making the picture so pleasing. Evidently you had superb light, and the exposure was handled correctly. Technically the picture is very good, the focus, DOF, and BG stands out.

Well done, and compliments of the season to you and your family.

Hi Gert,
The morning light is really stunning here. It gave such a wonderful warmth to the photo without over saturating the natural colors. I love the fine details in the entire photo and the wonderful touch of frost on the grass. The catchlight in the eye brings the photo alive.
I am glad you mentioned that this is a photo made on a calibrated high quality screen. It would be interesting to see who will coment on incorrect colors.

P.S. I just bought the 70-200 F4 and got the collar a week ago. Unfortunately my battery pack makes it impossible to attach the collar to my tripod head in horizontal position. I need to buy a extra plate to overcome it. Still first tests of the lens look great.

What a splendid capture in wonderful light. I love the Bearded Tit too but I haven't seen one for years now! :-( This lovely sunny capture really cheers me up at this darkest time of the year. We've hardly seen the sun here now for 4 weeks! I love its pose on the rush and the colours are fantastic. Excellent sharpness too, as always, and a very fine composition.

A wonderful image with such beautiful golden light. It has brought out some great colours and details. You have done very well to capture this bird at all. Here in the UK they are very elusive and I have only ever caught a fleeting glimpse of them.

Your post are always something special!! The lighting of this is just amazing - strange seeing frost in the golden sunlight. A very beautiful bird captured perfectly in a wonderful pose. I love the eye in the middle of the black patch. Face and plummage are beautiful - and those tail feathers are fantastic. As always, a superb composition.

Hi Gert. I know what you mean i waited a very long time to get a kingfisher worth posting but it happened this summer. Yours was well worth the wait. The colours in the early morning light are first class so warm. The orange eye ring stands out from the black feathers so well. A nice pose on the golden dried grass. well done TFS.

Hi Gert

A gorgeous shot of this cute Bearded Tit in this amazing morning light.
The close-up here would have been great in any moment of the day, but here with this straight, warm one it has such a special dimension. The contrast has been boosted and the colors are so wonderfully saturated.
Splendid job in all aspects!

A very fine capture of the Bearded Reedling, a beautiful but very elusive bird for me. Not only have you captured it with superb sharpness but in a fantastic warm light even though it was a frosty morning. The pose, POV and composition are wonderul.

Oh yes, it is not difficult to see why these handsome little birds are one of your "absolute favourites". You had to wait sooooo long before you could capture one of them (isn't it just funny how these things sometimes work out), but now you have an abundance of these gorgeous birds around your area to capture at leisure.

The amazing light makes this shot a stunner with terrific appeal and visual impact. The composition is well enhanced by the diagonal straw sheaf, the OOF and similarly golden coloured BG compliments to subject, the warm colours are fabulous and the details are perfectly captured.
