First I will thank all for the nice comments and words of my last post.

Today’s post is very common bird but very nice in his beautiful colours.
They are the most common bird together with the Great Tit around our feeding station in the forest,. And it’s also very common here on TN but I like to show it to you.
This was the first day for months we had a very good light, the sun was above the tree tops and the sun beam reached the ground. It’s taken in natural light without any fill-in flash.
I know you know everything about this little tit but here is some small fact.
I hope you like the Blue/Yellow bird

The Blue Tit, Cyanistes caeruleus, is a 10.5 to 12 cm (4.2 to 4.8 inches,) long passerine bird in the tit family Paridae. It is a widespread and common resident breeder throughout temperate and subarctic Europe and western Asia in deciduous or mixed woodlands. It is a resident bird, i.e., most birds do not migrate.

Hello Gert,
He might be common for you but not for me! I wish we have those cute colorful fellows here as well! This is a very nice capture, razor sharp with good control on exposure which is not that easy with all this white! I like diagonal composition a lot. Well seen!

Hi Gert
Fantastic contrast. Vivid blue and yellow on white snow. Great POV, perfect sharpness and nice moment Nothing to critique I like it very much

fin exponering!

Hello Gert
A common upload indeed but this has many outstanding qualities.
Firstly the snow has acted as a perfect reflector illuminating the under side of the bird which is rare to see.
Secondly the sharpness is exemplary (as it should be with your glorious lense)
Thirdly your PP notes are intuitive as to how you converted the Raw file..I have found also that DPP is actually better than Adobe at managing the Raw file..and then as you say Photoshop has better tools to use post Raw conversion.
A very impressive capture and note.
All the Best
Billy

Nicely done, Gert.

Hi Gert,

A beautiful shot of this Blue Tit which is not common for me. I have only seen them in pictures. I love the pose as he looks down from his frosty perch. The colors are beautiful - I never noticed before that the top of his head is blue! Excellent details, wonderful lighting and a superb composition.

Jane

Hi Gert,

Hello Gert!

hello Gert

this is a very beautiful photography that only
master photographers like you can do it,
fine POV, DOF and framing, excellent sharpness
and details, the very little catch-light render
the photo more and more beautiful but it the
superb composition that you did with the wonderful
luminosity of the image and colour tones of the bird
that i love most, i also love his pose, TFS

Hi Gert,
I've always enjoyed your Blue Tit posts, and this is no exception.
Everything works, it's a very nice POV & comp.
You handled the difficult exposure well, without fill, & the colors look very natural. Fine details, great DOF.
Well done old friend,
Howard

Hi Gert,
Excellent capture of Blue Tit in amazing bright colours, great POV and composition, sharp fine details.

Hi Gert,

Splendid image. Clear sharp image well exposed showing great saturated colors. The pose is splendid and the bird contrast well against the blured BG. Nice work and TFS.

Alain

Hi Gert,
A lovely capture of this beautiful blue tit. Usually when I shoot some bird with white BG. I always get a overexposed BG. But you have managed it pretty well. Sharp details as always. Many thanks for sharing this beauty.

it maybe "very common", but it is very pretty and one of my favorite birds and when it is
presented and shown in this perfect way even more! :-)
not much to add to the others - the whole composition with the wood and the snow is
great, sharpness, colors, exposure and details are perfect as usual.
excellent job & best wishes, thor.

Hello Gert,

What a colorful contrast. I can't believe it good be better. Snow, a colorful lovely bird on a branche. Perfect in one word. My first reaction was when I saw the photo: the BG is perhaps a little too bright. But after a few times the picture reloaded is the background good.

Kind regards and TFS BOB

Hi Gert.
Very common bird. It is truth. However, very seldom quality of the picture. It is really stunning, especially exposure of the image and colour reproduction. I am amazed as usual with fantastic sharpness and details of the tit, snowdrops and pieces of the twig. Diagonal structure of the shot also is impressive. Tones of the absolutely smooth BG is amazing. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
Alexei.

Dear Gert,
most beautiful, masterly presentation of the Blue Tit showing it like a queen. Marvellous sunny light is bringing out the colours of a real jewel.
The snow covered trunk in the foreground serves as a perfect stage in front of a subtly shaded white in white.
Thank you! With best regards,
Peter
