Hi Mikael, a great shot of the Great Spotted Woodpecker. I am jealous of your lens, maybe next year I will upgrade. A very fine shot with amazing detail and sharpness, perfect pov and dof. Markings and colour wonderful and great catchlight on the eye.

Another splendid shot from you and i'm glad to hear you had a great time with Gert and Ralf. Surely we'll be seeing some more excellent shots from that trip :)
The woodpecker you captured here is lovely and presented impeccably! The angle you had here is exceptional and not only shows ts head well and in a terrific light, but also gives a perfect view of that red patch on its abdomen and tail. The colors are magnificent and vivid, the details are fantaastic and the DOF is spot-on.
