Excellent Gert!!! I traveled in Europe when young,but did not notice this robin. The sharpness of your photo truly brings out the softness of the robin's tufts.He looks like he might have taken his bath right before your shot.

Excellent sharpness with very well exposed plumage even without the flash. The sharpness is very commendable due to your sturdy tripod. I like the dead wood which provides the perch making this bird in good perspective. Brilliant against that clear and yet contrasting background.

Outstanding composition of the picture, amazing subject (two pieces of old wood, charming bird and so wonderful BG). The reproduction of all details of the robin (legs, every feather, eye and beak as well as the colour palette) is the best too. Colourfulness and smoothness of the BG are extremely wonderful. Bravo.

Hi Gert

Weather had gone crazy here, too, and that is allarming. Last week we had very cold days, with temperatures of about -5 > -7 and soon (this weekend and the beginning of next week) we'll have some of about +17 > +19...it's just not normal... :(

But, regardless of temperature, i'm happy that the sun is shining again and the huge and endless clouds are not above us anymore :)
This also has brought happiness for you and it seems you could work very nicely here with the natural light.
Your photo of this cute robin is lovely and presents him with impeccable details and is very beautiful colors.
I also like you composition here - with plenty of room in the direction that the bird is looking at.
