First I will thank you all for the nice comments and words of my previous post.

Today when Micke (tamrock) and I were out on the Butterfly road (Fjärilsvägen) to see if
We could find any nice butterflies but it was too windy so they were not flying.
Instead we found a lot of dragonflies. This beautify is new for me, never saw one before.
A help with the ID would be very nice. I think it’s any kind of Leucorrhinia.

A biggger version here

PLS.
No points for this, I have given them up like some others. I have turn of the points, so don’t waste your green ones

Today we celebrate midsummer, one of our biggest holidays.
Today you can see adult people dancing the “frog dance” around a huge maypole,
It looks quite funny when they trying to act like a frog. ;-)
More about the frog dance

As we say “Glad Midsommar”.

This is a nice photo I would have liked the wings to be clearer, but good photo - have a great week end.

Hello Gert!
You are right, as for me it is a male of Leucorrhinia pectoralis.
This is a very nice and sharp picture :)
TFS and all the best from Poland!
Friendly yours,
Radomir

Hello Gert,

A very nice and sharp picture of this beautiful dragonfly. Excellent POV, DOF and sharpness. I like the gradual evolution of colour from yellow to red on the abdomen and thorax. Very good contrast against the green of the leaves.
Cheers,
Mariki

Hi Gert

Nice to see new photos and species from you...always a pleasure, my friend!
As Radek said, this is a Yellow spotted Whiteface - Leucorrhinia pectoralis, indeed a species we don't see much of here.

You have captured it in a very good macro here!
I really like the impeccable sharpness and the lovely colors you managed to retain.
The DOF is also spot-on and keeps the entire dragonfly in good focus.
Very well seen and taken!

Bravo and TFS
Horia

PS: Congrats on your new lens, too! It looks great!

Visite la pagina " A biggger version here ", los detalles que se pueden apresiar son fantasticos!!!, los colores el foco todo esta muy bien.
Bueno simplemante te queria agradecer por compartir esta foto con nosotros.

Hi Gert.
I like very impressive scene, amazing pattern created by the leaves and superb of beauty dragonfly which you have captured at very impressive upper POV. Square cropping and strong diagonal composition of the picture are wonderful as well as the lights, natural colours and great details of the scene. Well done and kind regards.

Goodmorning Gert,

This is a beautiful photo of this dragonfly. Sharp and colorful. I'm agree with the critiques of Betsie. The wings good be sharper or clearer. But I think it comes trough the green leaves. And I like the big photo. It is superb.

Have a nice weekend and TFS BOB

Hej Gert,
Great that you also found this beautiful dragonfly that Ivan and I have both posted recently. This is a very fine sharp capture of an immature male in beautiful colours. I like its pose on the leaf - we've seen several but they nearly always settle on the ground or on a stone. Well done!
TFS and cheers, Ulla

Hi Gert, superb dragonfly with excellent sharpness and fine details, very well done, ciao Silvio
