Unfortunatly no moon eclipse from my side, the sky was covered all night, but as a surprise had an unexpected visitor at my feeder in the forrest, although Siskins overwinter in sweden most of them overwinter in the southern part of europe, picture is mad from a distance of about 6 mtr and cropped quite a lot, hope you like it and tfw

Siskin

The Siskin is a small finch, about the size of a Blue Tit and with similar agility.

They are generally yellowish-green and yellow with a dark streaked belly and striking yellow rump, wing bars and sides of the forked tail. The legs and bill are dark brown.

The male has a black cap and bib and bright yellow cheeks. The female does not have a black crown or bib and is more heavily streaked.

Juveniles have browner upperparts and are even more heavily streaked than the female.

Hallo Paul,

Lekker scherp en prachtig van kleur.

Hello Paul
I was going to say what a lucky find but you seem to spend countless hours on your nature photography so its a just reward for your patience.
super focus and pov displaying the siskin perfectly....Tfs
Paul

Hello Paul,

There was no moon eclipse on my side of the world either but your post is so stunning.

The diagonal branch make a very good perspective for the perch. The leaves add graphism to the composition. The bird is in good sharpnesses and exposing the plumage pretty well. Well captured against the clear background. well done and best regards.

Ga even een week wintersporten.
Groet,
Peter
