Took this picture on a grasfield close to the forest,I saw this I believe cape hare (you can correct me if I am wrong) when I past with the car,I stopped and stalked a little closer, picture is made handheld with my 300mm f2.8 with a 1,4x converter connected, iso was put on 800 as it the sky was overcasted and moments later it started raining.....
Quickly back in the car for shelter, anyway was quite happy with the results of my 1st hare on TN shot under not the most ideal circumstances.

Great shot... I like this one very much. Nice detail and good angle. I also like the interplay between the single white clover and the rabbit. :)

Hi Paul. You have a very close up of the Hare . A nice compostion in the meadow field with the wild flower. Good detail and natural colours. You have captured the large brown eyes so well. TFS.
Nick..

Hi Paul,

Hello Paul,
What a beautiful composition showing this Hare (not Cape!)half-hidden in the grass. Great focus on the eye and fine details. I like the one Clover flower too and wonder if the Hare is going to eat it! :-)
TFS and cheers, Ulla

Hello Paul,
A fine capture of the Brown Hare (Lepus europaeus).
I like the way you took him in the meadow surrounded by his environment in a great pose and froma fine low POV with nice sharpness.
The closely related Cape Hare is only found in Spain.
TFS,
Regards, Ivan

Hello Paul,
It's very good photo, very natural pose of the hare. I know that hare don't wait for photographer and you have good reflex.
Regards, Pawel.

not a bad shot under the circumstances. perhaps a bit over exposed. an adjustment of half a stop would tone the grass down.
but the hare is wonderful and probably keeping an eye or ear on you. tfs

Hi, Paul,

En het stopt maar niet blijkbaar...
Goede scherpte en scherptediepte. Je moest er blijkbaar alles uithalen wat de hoeveelheid licht betreft.
Bedankt
Annick
