[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here a small break from my svalbard trip,made this capture during yesterdays walk in the local forest,I have no ID from this dragonfly,but I liked the way it was positioned on the log,a pity of the small straw in the BG,but sometimes you cant have it all,hope you like it and tfw,I will be off to Holland for a couple of days,enjoy the weekend

Hello Paul,

Very interesting capture of this dragonfly perching on a log, artistic too. Dragonfly details are great, wavy patterns of the log is dramatic. I like this unusual composition. Sorry , I don't know the ID.

Hi Paul,
This one is very different from the usual for this insects.
I mean, that big trunk with its texture dominates great part of the picture.
It almost seems the insect was trying to hide in between the gaps.
I like details got and the contrast between the golden tones and the green of the background.

Hello Paul,
An interesting and unusual way of presenting a dragonfly, partially hidden but showing enough of the features with good sharpness and from a fine POV on the log to be able to ID it.
This is a female Moustached Darter.
(Sympetrum vulgatum)

Hi Paul. Back on dry land today. Well spotted as it must have been hard to see on the log. You have captured it with good detail and natural colours. A nice POV against the plain green BG. well done TFS.
