A place just outside of Stockholm close to Sodertajle also. There a field of whooper swans where eating and resting before heading off for there long journey. Together on this field alone there where about 40-60 Whooper swans and the odd mute in between the lot.
It was a great moment to be looking at these magnificent flying birds eating away and always keeping an eye out for the young ones, always close by.
Here is some information taken from the rspb.org.uk site:
Whooper swan
Cygnus cygnus
The whooper swan is a large white swan, bigger than a Bewick's swan. It has a long thin neck, which it usually holds erect, and black legs. Its black bill has a large triangular patch of yellow on it. It is mainly a winter visitor to the UK from Iceland, although a couple of pairs nest in the north. The estuaries and wetlands it visits on migration and for winter roosts need protection. Its winter population and small breeding numbers make it an Amber List species.
Where does it live?
Breeding

Wintering
Lowland farmland near the coasts, flooded fields or lakes. Feeds on shallow water and land in day; roosts on open water.

Nice shot Demetrio.
Although the capture lacks sharpness, you managed great color, exposure, and I like the low POV. Difficult shooting conditions.
TFS!

Hello Demetrio,
A simple but beautiful composition!
The lovely bird gives a fine pose, and the white plumage is nicely exposed...
Good colours and details, DOF is spot on!
Greetings,
Pablo -
