A family of swans at Saltsjöbaden (it's a place near Stockholm, it's part of the Stockholm archipelago).
I saw the big swans first, and when I came nearer I saw their children, too. I wanted to take a photo of them (using zoom, of course, as I doubted that the father-swan would let me come too close. Well, it happened as I had expected :)
The father was quiet while I was just standing a bit in the distance watching them... but the moment I stepped over the inivisible "forbidden" border (defined by the father-swan, of course) he turned back and started approaching me in such a threatening manner that I decided not to disturb them.
He was hissing so threateningly that I didn't even dare to step close to that "invisible" border :) I took a few photos of them from the distance (some of them with a zoom) and left.
This photo was taken without any zoom at the moment when the father-swan rushed towards me, hissing and ready to attack me :)
So it's a close-up snapshot (no zoom) taken at the very moment when I was about to escape :)
The photo was taken with a film camera (Olympus IS-300) and the image was scanned from the film. It was edited a bit in PS. |
