[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today a short break from the bears, went for a walk and was hoping to see/photograph some butterflies,I saw just a few and was not able to photograph them, however I sa lots of dragonflies,as well this one who was enjoying his meal and ate a relative,II was surprised how fast he was able to finish its meal, the light was a bit hard and the BG is a bit messy, but I had to show this form of cannibalism, hope you like it (the picture I mean ofcorse) and thanks for you visit.

Bonjour Paul
Bravo pour cette magnifique prise de vue.
Celà est tellement difficile de réussir une telle photo avec cette petite bestiole qui ne tient pas en place.Belles couleurs et très beaux détails.
Merci et félicitations.....JP

Hi Paul, scary but excellent timing with sharp detail and focus. Well captured! TFS
Dean.

Hello Paul,

What a fantastic picture. It is not really cannibalism: they do not belong to the same species. Excellent composition, POV, DOF and sharpness. Excellent light and colours. The background is a bit too busy but nothing than you can do, the animals decide the place where they want to be.
Cheers,
Mariki

Hello Paul,
Wow, I've never seen a dragonfly with such a big prey!! This is a female of Orthetrum cancellatum (Större sjötrollslända) eating a female Leucorrhinia pectoralis (CItronfläckad kärrtrollslända). Very well observed and you managed to get a super shot even though the background is busy. You obviously live in a good area for dragonflies!! Well done!
TFS and cheers, Ulla
