Lygaeus equestris,

This bug is a look a like of the firebug which is seen regularly on TN,but maybe this is the first posting of this bug on TN,from this bug I could not find an english description of this bug, however a swedish version is available on wikipedia

Riddarskinnbagge

Hello Paul,
a fine picture of this bug showing its distinguished colour patterns very well.
You achieved excellent sharpness resulting in a detail-rich presentation of this species.
Best wishes, Peter

Hi Paul,
Strange that this bug has also a Finnish name 'ritarilude' but no English name. It has very bright colours. Excellent macro shot with good composition and sharp details.
