[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Went for a walk today in the local forest to look for some chantarelles and other edible fungi when I almost stepped on this fellow, luckily I saw him in time and was able to make some captures from a safer distance (as I only had my 300mm lense with me (I took this capture from the closest I could get with this lens, abt 2 meters),a lower POV was unfortunately not possible due to the vegetation and I did not want to disturb this fellow,in the short time I was here I did not see any movement,I made a few captures and continued my search for fungi, hope you like this one (actually I am not that fond on these ones...)and thanks for your time...

Hallo Paul,
Groet,
Peter

Hello Paul,
Wow, You must have had a warm and sunny day up there to find an Adder out and about!! Not nice to step on while picking berries or fungi though! This has almost happened to me several times up Stockholm way!! We rarely see them down here.
Anyway you managed to get a very close capture showing its eye and zig-zag markings.
Great sharpness and natural colours. Well done!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hi Paul, you are very lucky that encountered with this beauty:)Amazing sclation details showing the all characteristics of European Asp viper with its head uperside pattern. Elongated two dark spots forming a V-shaped marking that is open posteriorly and also obviously keeled back scales very impressive. Excellent POV and composition too. Thanks for sharing this fine image my friend!
Have a nice new week!
Cheers,

Bayram

Hi Paul,

Good that you ended the meeting at this discance. Photo is interesting showing good details of snakes head and body. You have made good use of the existing light showing the colors and pattern of the snake.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hi Paul
Great capture of this adder! I was hoping to see one today, but my reptile spotting total was one very small Common Lizard and two dead Slow Worms - both had sadly been run over :(
Great focus on the eye, I like the detail of the scales. TFS.
Vinny

That was lucky you didn't step on it.
This is a very fine shot.
That reddish eye is really evil-looking!
Superb sharpness.
Great composition.

Well done,
Joe

Avond, Paul
Niet de eerste keer dat je een adder spot en fotografeert.
Heel mooi dier.
Ik associeer Zweden niet met gifslangen zoals deze adder.
Bedankt
Annick
