Another little birdie from you in a beautiful composition. Nice and sharp but I find the colours too stark (too much contrast?) and I'm curious as to what the background is?

What a gorgeous composition, Ralf.
I love the way the spaces are divided by the branches, and the POV of the bird.
Sharpness and exposure are perfect, and the colors are just beautiful, including the colors of the BG.

You have some lovely pictures in your gallery.
I think this one is quite extraordinary and I very much like it. The framing and details are superb, but what I like most is the contrast between subject and the warm brownish BG. It looks superb! Do you remember what was in BG? And another question, how high was the bird? It looks as it is feeding on alder and these are pretty high trees.
Overall, this is probably one of most interesting pictures of Blue tit I've seen.
