Thanks to Paul Prince I now know what family this spider belongs too and I could get some info about it. Thanks Paul.

This spider belongs to the family wolf spiders. Wolf spiders does not spin a web. In stead they live on the ground and are very fast runners. So they hunt like a wolf by sneaking up on their prey and catch them by running fast. They often like sunshine and I guess that that explains that this one were sitting in tha sun enjoying himslef.

This picture was taken when me and my parents wer out in the woods gathering blueberries. When we took a coffe break this little fellow ran over the small boulder I sat on. Fortunately it stopped so I could get a few photos of it. The size of this spider is about 15mm (including legs) but I thik it looks a lot bigger in this picture :-).

Great picture Urban, show how well they fit in to the surroundings. I'm not sure on the species but it is of the family Lycosidae - wolf-spiders.

Lovely focus and detail in the head and eyes, very well done.

Very good Urban.
Nice colours and good sharpness.
Paul is right about hoe they fit in to the surroundings.

Waouh ! Elle est impressionnante cette grosse araignée, jolie photo bien composée !
Well done !

Very nice capture. The non centred composition looks nice. There is not a lot of contrast between the BG and the spider, but it shows the camoflague very nicely. Thanx for sharing.

I do like this one Urban - just the environment where these guys like to be, almost invisible.
Very nice capture with a good dof to show the details. The colours are spot on as well as the cropping and the composition.

Muy buena imagen Urban.
Excelente nitidez, con adecuada perspectiva y encuadre, además de un atinado DOF y bellos tonos.
Buen disparo.

Very good image Urban.
Excellent clearness, with suitable perspective and frame, more an accurate DOF and beautiful tones.
Nice shot.

The very good light of this shot, lets us enjoy the spider and the camouflage at the same time, what is rather difficult.
