Not technically perfect shot but the polecat is difficult to spot and even more to photograph. There are not many on TN. The pose is brilliant. The catch in its mouth is a big plus.
I saw them once only. A group of 3. Not shy because it was on a military area and they were left in peace there. I watched them during 30 min playing with each other and with the numerous rabbits. It was a wonderful sight. Playing with rabbits was nothing bloody, but just chasing them for a few feet distance.
