I don't think snails can get aquaplaning, but this one for sure is close ;-)

High speed sync (1/500) and the flash on 1/4 of power creates the black background. I think that it creates a cleaner picture and put more focus to the object. Do you agree or should I’ve done it some other way?

The picture is a little bit cropped and I've raised the exposure +0.8 otherwise untouched.

Amazing shot, Peter. Have never seen such a beautiful pattern on the shell of a snail. Wonderful capture with sharp details and great light. Superb composition with the drops of water all around. Well done and TFS. : )

Very good job. The shell of the snail is special never seen this on a snail. I think it is a very well shot picture, don`t know what you could do different. The light of the flash makes the drops shine.. nice!!!
