this species ranks very high on my want to see list. It has been discovered in my region (first record for the Netherlands). Your image is nice and sharp and shows all beautiful details of the darter.

It must have been a wonderful feeling to be with your grand-child at her christening.

The colour of the eyes of this Darter is very different and attractive. It comes out strongly in this well captured image.

Hi Ulla,

très bonne image de libellule, il va vraiment falloir que je m'y mette moi ausssi. La ligne pure est bien restituée. Sa couleur foncée est bien visible sur le BG vert, il y a juste une petite perte de DOF sur le haut du corps.

It is really nice to see you again after a short break. I hope that you spent a nice time :>
According to this picture I have to say that I like this picture a lot. Very good DOF and interesting POV.
This species (like 2 other belonging to this genus) are rather rare in Poland and protected by the law. And because it is nice to see it here on TN. I really do not remember the sexual differences in this species, but this is a male right?

A wonderful capture from you and a great macro picture.
Leucorrhinia is a genus that i've missed so far in Europe, but fortunately i alreaddy managed to take some photos of one species here in the US :)
Lovely colors and very nice sharp details.
I also like the DOF that you chose here, blurring the BG nicely and bringing out the subject even better.
