Hi Gert.
I see this young bird every day in my countryside garden. It likes to feed there. I have took a lot of photos but your is so different. I like its dark rich colour tones and wonderful simple composition of the shot. Turning of the bird head is so cute as well as its calmness. Light is great too. My best wishes and TFS.

Hej Gert,
Very fine capture of a juvenile Red-backed Shrike with excellent dark bokeh, composition, lighting and colours. The sharpness is good too, but it looks like this image is heavily cropped and required more PP treatment than usual: there is a kind of feeling that this could be painting, that is also appealing.

Beautiful sharpness and composition. I love the pointedness of the beak, the details of the legs, and how clear the eye is. I also love the way this is composed, an excellent pov. The lighting is perfect, making this shot very striking.

A nice capture of this shrike although I agree with Ivan (but I as well understood your answer on this item)anyway the composition and colors are great and although I saw as well a few of these shrikes today (on a telephone cable) I did not ge the shot today,tfs
