Hello Mikael, Superb shot of the jumping Great Spotten woodpecker.
Love the colour palette and good BG of brown. A shot that is n'ver an easy one and one that also comes with bit of good luck.Lucky You!Sharpness and details wof the bruid brought out very well.

Hi Mikael,

This is a very good photo of a flying bird (even if it does not look as flying). You got a very good moment to capture the image. Despite the obvious difficulty in capturing such an image you obtained an excelent quality. The bird is sharp with good details and the light is good giving natural looking colors.

Love the pose of the bird and you've captured it perfectly in this mid air jump.

It is amazing "world record". Simply great scene, POV, timing and composition. You have used almost all features and capabilities of your equipment excluding ISO 400 (my working ISO speed). Amazing colours, sharpness of the twig and bird, superb smooth and wonderfully coloured BG. My congratulations and Bravo.

Sorry for delay with writting a detailed comment :)
This is a vry beutiful picture. These birds are so fast that it is very difficult to observe the "moment" of landing! Great timing and perfect DOF! It is really interesting that with woodpecker to not "use" its wings in the last part of fly to assurance! I did not know that :)

What a splendid action shot, of a beautiful little bird. This is a marvellous shot with wonderful bright and sunny colours displayed in the plumage. The pose is great showing off its face and that lovely sharp granite coloured beak. The inside feathers of this woodpecker’s tailpiece is just great and the colours are displayed well. This is a real handsome fellow and has such lovely and colourful plumage to be a real show-off. Thanks for sharing this charming guy. I just love the golden coloured patch of feathers just above the beak. It was a pleasure indeed to look at.
