Hi Ivan,
nice group of oyster catchers, must be a sign of spring :-).
Great details you captured, the colors of their beak is a nice focal point in the soft blue sky.
Nice sharp details and excellent colors.

Very sharp and clear in flight shot Ivan, nicely framed and exposed too. I was watching a big group of these bobbing up and down on the waves just the other day. They were all diving down to catch fish at exactly the same time, never seen a group of birds do that before!
tfs and have a great weekend,
Paul

What a nice inflight shot of those beuatiful birds. The line of their flight dances in the frame, it is very well seen Ivan. Lovely composition with nice oof background, the white of the wings pops out the scene with light and details. We can even see the orange beaks of the birds! Thank you,
Francine

Hello Ivan,
Beautiful formation of this Oystercatcher flock. The flying action is well seen. Tree line and blue sky in the background give the feeling of natural surrounding. Very well done.

Hi Ivan,
Wonderful capture of the Oyster Catchers a big favourite of mine, nicely composed, with a great POV and I love the pose of the birds in a flowing wave, I also like the way the BG is quite muted with all the detail, light and colours focused on the Oyster Catchers.

Hi Ivan,
I love these wonderful Oystercatchers in flight. It might be the first time I have seen them. The different positions are great - I love the four at the end of the line. Even though they were taken from a distance the clarity is superb.

The title reminds me of seagull....it may have the word SEA in it, but it is everywhere even when there is no water...perhaps just gull or some other prefix....and in this I have not heard of this species more or less seen it and then adding in flight with a wonderful chorus line... well maybe in need of rehearsal:-)

Again, a fine dynamic composition in the genre of "follow the leader" Ivan, an excellent "frozen" capture showing the aerodynamics of the species to a perfection. A rare scene to behold within a photograph my friend, TFS indeed!

Hi Ivan,
Very succesfull composition. I usually find it difficult with flying Oystercatchers to capture a suitable flock and keep them in focus like these all are. Very good sharp details and colours.

Hi Ivan
We see so many in-flight shots of single birds and some of our esteemed photographer friends have really mastered this to the level of a science and not an art anymore. I say this purely out of respect for their work and it is not meant to sound downgrading at all. However, to photograph a flock of birds successfully is another aspect of photography. Due to the numbers and the milling masses it is all too easy to loose focus of a central point of interest. Although this shot does not contain hundreds or even thousands of birds, actually only 10 birds, but due to the grouping and only the singular leading bird removed from the rest, it really keeps the eye focused in that area of the birds only. The rest of the composition also does not contain much other worth while detail that tends to distract the eye and thus make it wonder of to discover the remainder of the photo.
Excellent composition with the line of tree tops just reaching into the frame at the bottom and the bare branches of the trees on the right filling up 1/3 of the sky area on the vertical just to break the monotonous continuance of the plain sky. Lovely natural colours and excellent exposure levels.
Well done and TFS.
Regards
Loot
PS. Thanks for all the great support you have been giving me over the last couple of months. It is much appreciated.

Wow! How lucky you were to have seen a whole flock of Oystercatchers! And then to photograph it so successfully! (which of course is not really down to luck!)
I love the bold eye-catching colours of these birds and you show that very well here.
Excellent range of poses.
A great composition too.
Superb DOF.
A bit over-sharpened I think due to the slight halo around some of the birds.
I like how we get a sense of this bird's habitat as well.
Great work Ivan!

Hi Ivan.
You managed to frame this charming flying group of birds perfectly. Composition of the image is really spot on as well as the crisp sharpness of the image I like impressive bush on the right side and attractive curve of the nicely blurred horizon. Superb exposure parameters and cropping. My best regards and TFS. Well done.

Hi Ivan
Again i see that i've missed a lot of great captures from you, my friend, and i want to take this chance to congratulate you for your lovely close-ups and contributions to TN as well.
I picked this one however, because it's something very beautiful are perhaps rarely seen here - a flock of Oystercatchers.
The sharpness here is impeccable and the dynamism of the shot is definitely enhanced by the composition.
Very beautiful colors and spot-on exposure as well.
Bravo and TFS
