The backdrop really makes the bird fit right in. A nice blending of colours. The perch besides being natural, looks very nice and shows good use of the dof, which may be why you liked this one best..Very nice Ulla.

A good capture under the warm colors of a sunset Ulla, the colours of the plumage are a little shifted towards the reddish part of the spectrum of course, but the stance of the chaffinch from this viewpoint against a perfectly blurry darkish BG is fine indeed.

I really am a big fan of female chaffinches..They always look so gentle to me opposed to the males harsher colourations..The light you have caught here is fantastic as are the lovely soft details (she is sharp but retains a lovely gentle softness)..The BG is also superb.

You've captured this wonderful little bird greatly in a natural surrounding lovely framed by the branches.
Excellent composition and exposure.
Beautiful soft BG color tones, against wich the bird does stand out perfectly, and catchlight in the eye.

Just beautiful Ulla! Wonderful pose and composition of this bird on the red twig. Could it's breast and belly be more plump?!! It looks great in the warm light and with the contrasting blurred greenish Bg. Wonderful sharp facial details. Well done!

on the image, the DOF is excellent, great sharpness and details
with only 1/60 seconds shutter speed and camera handheld
something that i can not do because

Lovely shot of the Female Chaffinch
Very nicely composed with a great POV and I like the pose with the Chaffinch puffing out her breast.

Even some of us with those so-called high res tele-gizmos cannot do such a wonderful job as you have done with your simple camera fitted with a converter, Ulla.
I must compliment you for this amazingly sharp and crisp image of a Chaffinch.
The glint in its sharp eye looks very attractive.
