Hello Paul,
Nice capture of a Four-spotted chaser with its capture - a Horse Fly (as shown by the eyes). In other words a predator has just caught a blood-sucker.
Fine macro with good sharpness and details showing the features of both species.
TFS this interesting macro,
Ivan

Hello Paul,
I could not make sense of this from the thumbnail but was intrigued by the title! I'm glad I persevered!
It's a bit like a horror picture but shows very interesting details of this macabre scene! I like the details of the eyes!
I have learned a lot today about the feeding habits of dragonflies!
kind regards,
Bev :-)
bonjour paul
la nature est parfois cruelle mais cela fait d'exellente occasion de photographier.
la netteté est bonne sur la tête de la mechante libellule.
