[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This I think is a kind of a hoverfly.
I took inside a rhododenron.

I used a 12 mm ext.tub and a 1.4 converter , just to test if it works together.
Raw-format as usual , Converted in PS to Adobe RGB 16B/Channel . Levels, USM , contrast, then converted to 8B/channel SRGB for use in a browser. And i use the croptool. This is the way I work .
I hope you like it.

Great shot Gert, the fly is indeed a hoverfly (Syrphus ribesii). Great clarity on this and detail is spot on as usual, well done.

Very nice capture and excellent detail, combined with good DOF. Can you please explain the green thing (flyshit) to me. I did not notice it intil you called it by name. Well taken.

Very good macro shot.
Amazing details, and lovely colors.
Ok with Paul for the ID.
Good work.

Gert
You keep on bettering yourself! This is plain stunning! The only green "thing" I notice is the stamen.

Great shot again, Gert. Beautiful colors and detail, and the shutter speed gave a fine subtle motion blur on the wings without losing any relevant detail. Very good.

One of the clearest shots of a hoverfly I`ve yet seen on any of the Trek sites, nice one.The metalic gold especially well captured .
Paul has the ID right I think.
