| The jättebjörnfloka, herculaneum mantegazzianum, is a giant plant, which used to grew wild all over Sweden, until the government because of some stupid reason proclaimed war (??!!) against it. They said this plant did not belong to the Swedish flora. But it is proofed that it has been growing here since 1600, probably before that. It is a medical herb. Now this very decorative, gigantic plant, is rare in Sweden. In Denmark there are still lots of them. I took this picture, a negative that I have scanned, in Bredäng, southern Stockholm. |

Hi Monica,
As usual, man can really screw things up. This scanned pretty well. Nice color and composition. Happy Holidays!

Hi Monica, what does the govt know about plants? Here in Auckland city the local council is going to cut down these beautiful shade trees (English) and re-plant native (NZ)plants that like to grow in forests!
This is a good interest photo, we have similar plants in NZ but I'm not sure of the name and not as big either. Thank you for sharing.
