Is he in for takeoff or landing? Seems like the wings are set for landing but the water drops (very nice job with the motion blur on the water drops too,like it!) indicates it´s on it´s way up?
Anyway, very very good picture, both composition, focus and motive.

Another great one, Gert - wonderful motion blur on the wings versus the fine detail in the rest of the duck. Nice diagonal composition that is also echoed by the way in which the white and blue areas are separated in the background. Excellent shot, congratulations.

I missed that great one, Gert. Just a question...how do you train your ducks? I'm quite succesful with my (dog) but I have a problem with birds. Even the last cormorant posted here didn't want to fly away, he just plunged to escape! :-(
Just kidding! You're always there at the right moment to capture exceptional flying movements. What I like here, on top, is the lively foam adding water movement and colors to the whole picture. Wonderful!
