| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
There are something like 70 different animal species in the Skansen Zoo, the main emphasis being on Scandinavian fauna, which is represented by Nordic wild animals such as the brown bear, elk, reindeer, wolverine, lynx and seal.
The elk is the largest mammal in Sweden - the male can weigh up to 700 kg. Its fur is brown to greyish-black, and its long shanks are greyish-white, for which reason a standing elk can be hard to detect among narrow-trunked trees. Sweden has an elk population of about 210,000. The open season for elk is in the autumn, and about 100,000 animals are shot every year.
Hope you like that. |

what a cool shot, tatiana! :-)
you capture the moose very well with a nice low pov
and well composed with him sitting in the grass looking
at you.
well done & take care, thorsten.
Hi Tanya,
Nice shot. Good detail, color, and framed well. I like the rustic setting, good POV as well..
I did a quick WS, and supersized the big guy :)
Well done and TFS!
