Simple but very effective! I like the tight crop. It makes it easier to concentrate on the real theme of the photo. And gives the interesting abstract feel too.

Another very pleasant autumn shot from you, my friend.
I see you've concentrated on colors here and even though i might not see them that well, i think this photo makes me understand them well (as well as you attraction to them) even without distinguishing all the tones properly :) I hope this doesn't offend you, though...

Anyway, i like it. I like the textures of the branches, too, as well as the nice coniferous "needles".

Ja da kann man wohl von Farbenpracht sprechen! Schöne warme herbstliche Farbtöne. Die Berberitzen gehören zu meinen Lieblingsbüschen, ganz speziell im Herbst. Hier bilden sie zusammen mit der goldenen Lärche ein gekonntes impressionistisches Gemälde. Bin mir sicher, dass deine grössere Bild-Version noch viel leuchtender ist!

Hallo Markus,

"Daily fireworks", das trifft gut zu. Ich kann mir grad vorstellen, wie Du aus dem Häuschen warst ob der Pracht. Toll gemacht, Markus.

Wir hatten im Labor jemanden (Marco Archetti), der in angesehenen Fachzeitschriften über die biologische Bedeutung der Herbstblattfarben forschte. Er nahm den Standpunkt ein, dass die Farben von den Bäumen produziert werden und nicht Abbauprodukte sind. Ihre Funktion wäre es nicht, den Menschen zu erfreuen sondern Blattläuse abzuschrecken. Diese legen im Herbst ihre Wintereier, aus denen im nächsten Jahr Zillionen von Nachkommen folgen. Er hat aber noch keine experimentellen Beweise dafür.

Si simple, but so beautiful in its very simplicity ! I love all these warm autumn colors - red, gold, brown, orange, creating a wonderful picture like some beautiful painting. The composition is beautiful, for we can see nothing else that the trees, looks great for the eye. Very well done !
