This is a grasshopper you can find in southern Europe. In Switzerland, you can find it in the ticino canton, in the southern part. The species is Ephippiger vicheti. It seems that a small part of the scientific community wants to change its name, for obscure reasons ;-)

Very good close-up, Fabien.
I like the green tones. Well composed and good details.
Maybe little more DOF so the front legs was little sharper.

Beautiful macro! The detail is really great...very sharp and precise. The grasshopper is camoflaged well on the leaf. You got a great capture!

Very good green-on-green with an intersting composition and good sharpness. DOF could be a bit more, a larger aperture with slower shutterspeed might have done the trick even without need for a tripod.
