Hi Markus!
Your posts are like path we walk through: from a post to the next one there's always something familiar from the previous ones and so on. This time you go from sand to sandwich :) Ok that's just joking but really, the pattern of sand is still in my eyes when I look at the pattern of stones.
About office work, I sometimes feel the same, especially this time of the year when before and after work it's dark already. Today I looked out of the window several times and saw how the nice clouds I saw for first passed away. First I thought bad that I couldn't go out but later I felt happy for at least I saw something nice after 3 days of rain.
And that's what I like in your shots, that are so live and beautiful I feel I get back something from what's lost from nature on worktime.
Have a better day tomorrow,
Andor

Hi Markus
I laughed out loud when I read your coment about the sandwich!
Lovely abstract shot - the exposure and detail are both excellent. Well observed!

Encore une belle présentation bien décorative et très artistique. Bravo.
Bonne journée.

Hi Markus,
you really should check out an English guy called Andy Goldsworthy (if you haven't already heard of him), your shots reminds me alot of him and i think you would really like his work too.
This is no less eye catching than your previous posts. The brown rock here seems to almost have been put here to be photgraphed by you! Lovely texture of the grain in the stone all over, well exposed and perfectly framed. very well done.

Hi Markus
:)) Before reading the note, i think i looked back and forth at the tile and picture at least 3-4 times to see what does one have to do with the other one :)) After reading, it all became clear and i had a good laugh.
Days like this we all experience sometimes but i feel that TN is a good way to lift your mood up once in a while. Surely, a small photo trips work ten times better, but you can't just come from work and go shooting all the time :)
This is a very geometrical shot! I love it!
This is how i see it: we have vertical lines beginning with the bottom rock, then diagonal (about at 60 degrees) lines in the darkest rock - on the left - then perfectly horizontal ones in the colored rock and finally dots in the upper one.
Add to that the curves from the shapes of the rocks and you've got a terrific 3D image!
A big plus for the image is the fact that there is that one rock that stands out because of its color - another very attractive point of the capture and i think that this extra element turns the picture into art.
Very simple, very abstract, very beautiful!
Great work!
Bravo and TFS

Hello Markus,
I can imagine that you felt just like this stone being squashed between the rocks as you got home from the office! Excellent subject very well observed. Sharp details and beautiful colours too. I hope you had a better day today and have a good relax at the weekend!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

I saw this earlier and it passed righ toff the Gallery..lots of posts..
At first I thought it was some kind of contraption which looked like a nutcracker...in thumbnail but it is another of your complex patterns...I have to have a bit of time to totally digest it..

Hello Markus
A lovely example of texture and colour in composition.
I really like the lighting and colours. The striations and patterns on the rocks make a nice visual impact.
Very well focused with excellent sharpness.

Hi Markus,
Another very creative and abstract photo. The difference in texture between the rock and stones are perfectly captured and shows the excellent sharpness of the photo. That one brown rock sandwiched between the entirely grey composition is a real eye catcher. Maybe that one little brown dot on the far right should not been there.
TFS,
Niek
Bonjour Markus,
Quelle belle lumière tombe sur ces pierres! Tu sais que j'aime les pierres et celles-ci sont de toute beauté avec leurs formes et couleurs différentes. Je ne fais pas de lien, par contre, avec un éventuel repas..
Bon weekend

Hello Markus,
Rocks in different shapes and colours can make pleasant artwork if you have "the eye"..!
This is an interesting composition, with attractive colours and good textures!

Hi Markus, Very good to see and record this aberation of nature. Looks like a few storms over the eons resulted in this mixed bag of boulders. Very good. TFS. Murray.
You are so funny! But I suspect that work isn't! There is a reason why they call it "work".
I like you photo. I also appreciate nature's details. Nice focus and exposure...

Markus,
You just critiqued my "Odd Man Out" post and I thought I needed to see who had the same sense of humor that I do. What a treasure I found.
I love the this picture. Not only is it a very good photograph but you have put a twist on that not everyone would see. As you said, we take some of our photography a little to serious and I think we stop having the fun it was when we first started. I am glad I have found you and I will be back in the future.
