[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi from Switzerland folks after 16 hrs of driving got to Winterthur safely, I have found a signal for the laptop available at my brothers house in Winterthur. Looks like being a great 2 weeks within minutes of getting here I have seen 3 species new to me, and I have an eager pair of bug hunters in the form of Nathalie and Marlene who have been turning every leaf and stone in the search in their small garden. It promises many finds I think.
This I think is some form of Sawfly, it resembles the Rose Sawfly but much bigger, it is about 25mm long and seemed to be searching this Honeysuckle (Lonicera) it is seen on.
anybody know what it is?, it is not in the books I brought with me and the girls say they too have never seen one before.

Posting while on holiday, tut, tut, your supposed to be relaxing.

Interesting POV, I think the image is slightly spoilt by the bright area behind the antanae. Apart from that its well composed.

Hi Robert,
This is a longhorn beetle, Oberea pupillata (Cerambycidae, Lamiinae), its larvae feed exclusively on Honeysuckle.
