A lady bird (Coccinella septem-punctata) on a thistle. Not the wildest wildlife exactly, but I like the composition with the signal red dot and the pointing lines. Let me know what you think!

Salut Gabi!
J'aime beaucoup. Cette lumière rasante sur cettet plante est belle. Bonne composition et bon cadrage. Samuel
Hello Gabi!
Very nice ladybug capture.Clear details, lighting,POV,DOF and composition are excellent. In my opinion,it would be better if you cropped half of left side. But this only my idea;).I liked your work a lot.TFS...:-)

Hey Gabi,
This photo has a very nice dramatic composition. The top right is so sharp and jaggered, and yet the bottom left is so soft. I really like it. Your focus on the bug is prefect. Well done

i can imagine the many times u shifted positions just to capture this great shot. the bug can't keep still and sometimes it flies when u r about to take the shot. dof is excellent but the thorns steals the scene from the bug.

I can see why you like the composition, Gaby. The originality of the situation as well as the sharp details, excellent DOF caught my attention. However, there is too much going on in this picture, and the story it is supposed to tell is lost. Sebnem Kanat (dew77) realized that and cropped the left side in her WS. By doing so, she retrieved the drama (story) of the picture. You did too in your WS but Sebnem’s vertical format which puts the emphasis on the prickly stuff and positions the bug in the bottom left corner as opposed to the centre is much more dramatic.

hello
very very good photo.
regards

I like it. The Ladybug (as we call them here) looks so delicate and vulnerable next to all those spines. The plant looks like one called Teasel here in the states. You did a fine job capturing this interesting picture.
