Bee happy

A honeybee (Apis mellifera) really getting into things.

Here is a simulation program I found that may appeal to visually oriented people:

B-EYE simulates the optics of a honey bee's eye.
It can be found here:

(Please leave out any hyphens, i.e. "-", I have added these two to get around the reserved letter combi)

Great close-up, Gabi
Very nice colour, good frmae.
TFS!

We see a lot of bee on flowers pics, but this one is particularly good because of the colours, the sharp focus, the pattern in the background, and the orientation in the frame.

beautiful close-up- amazing details.
Congratulations on this wonderful shot.

a masterpiece Gabi!

Very nice macro, Gabi.
Good POV and nice colours.
I found it little soft, I know it's not easy to shot with this
special macro-lens so I think you did a good job.
And 1600 ISO is not good for macros, alot of details disappear, even 400ISO can be little to high sometimes.
I think you did a good job.

Gabi, I checked the website you mentioned in your note. Really nice.

As for the picture, ISO 1600?! It seems that light conditions were not good at all.

Anyway, a great capture and a great job with post-process, since the image has no noise.

It's a very beautiful macro; the shot has an artistic touch, maybe because of the colors of the flower.
