Party Animal

This male mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) provided some amusement for onlookers as he tried his best to lunch on the tiny breadcrumps (kindly provided by Homo sp.) that the rest of the flock left over for the late comer.

Lots of birdlife out and about today, and many competing very aggressively for food.

Light was quite good, this was around lunchtime. Earlier in the morning the light was even better (and about time too).

Something resembling spring seems to have arrived at last, the snow is finally melting (for good for this year, I hope), and many trees start to flower.

nice collage of three superp shots. The titel works very well for this combination. Great details and superp poses. The sharpness and details are great. Excellent work.

An excellent action series on this Mallard. Nice colors and sharp detail. Not often do you get to see a ducks tounge in such detail!
