This picture was taken at the Zurich Zoo and looking at this bird that rotates continuously its head from the left to the right without moving any feather reminded me of one the droid (R2-D2 ?) that we all liked in Star Wars.
Sorry I cannot identify this bird, help appreciated. |

Nice Snowy owl. i think the colors are a little muted. nice job the owl is in good focus
Bertrand, it is a Snowy Owl which normally breed in the Arctic and migrates slightly south during winter, depending on the availability of its main food supply, the lemming. Thanks for posting
