An ibex in the morning light
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I always dreamed of seeing an ibex during at least one of my hiking adventures in the alps. I can't think of a better view than this one.
The photo was shot early in the morning, after a long night hike up to Niederhorn - with an undescribable panoramic view of the Swiss alps. |

PS. Welcome to TN :)
Hi Paul, thanks for sharing your experience.
...and, it's a good shot, really well composed with this big male ibex and the mountain over there.
The sky is a little too white and foggy, I think you can get better result using a polarizer filter.

Superb, looks like an illustration for the Alps travelling guide. Very evocative for the time and place! Excelent time of the day to shoot!

Wonderful composition and light. A really lovely shot
Hello Paul, and welcome to TrekNature.
Well wasn't that nice of him to pose for you? Those horns and that light and setting make for a great shot. Would have been great if he just stayed there awhile, and you could lie on the ground to take the shot...Just him and the wonderful mountains without the valley. Wouldn't it be nice if we could pose our wildlife to suit us?! Super shot. I'm jealous of your seeing this magnificent creature in the wild.
Thanks for sharing
