2009 seems to be the year of both V. cardui and C. croceus!
This is a fine portayal of C. croceus, that has also 'invaded' Sweden this year, a rare event!
Your fine use of ambient light has given excellent colours and sharpness against a pleasing contrasting BG.

Du hast recht, es gab richtige Wellen bestimmter Schmetterlingsarten, logischerweise auch auf TN. So bist Du nicht allein mit einem guten Colias-Beitrag, aber er ist ja auch zu schön. Ich habe auch Bilder popuärer Schmetterlige gemacht, aber die Konkurrenz ist hart... Jetzt habe ich schon 45 Schmetterlingsarten im Garten photographiert, allerdings sind nicht alle Bilder einwandfrei. Ich glaube, ich werde demnächst meine Wanzengallerie auf TN vorstellen...

Hi,
Beautiful yellow, nice orange/yellow colored. Bit brighter so some texture lost on the butterfly and too close for comfort. You should work on different aspect ratio for this beauty. tfs.

What a neat shot of the adorable golden yellow butterfly! The colors are superbly shown and the contrast between the butterfly's colors and the blurry BG, is amazing. The sharpness and POV are great and the DOF is very well maintained.

c'est vrai qu'on en voit beaucoup en ce moment, mais le Souci est un si beau papilon, qu'on ne peut qu'en être content, il illumine l'environnement où il setrouve de sa belle couleur jaune
